In TOUCHING MYSELF, a woman looks into the camera and touches her
own face in slow movements. A touch, which in everyday life often occurs as
a spontaneous self-touch and is usually unconscious, becomes a conscious
contact with oneself. In this affection, in touching and being touched, the
work thematizes the relationship to one‘s own self.
